This Instead of That.

Small changes are important. Here is a list of substitutes you should make on a daily basis. You will be AMAZED how much these simple changes will make a difference. You will feel great... and maybe even shed a few pounds!

Sweet Potatoes INSTEAD OF White Potatoes
Sweet potatoes have less calories, more vitamins, and twice the amount of soluble fiber!

Honey INSTEAD OF Sugar
Raw honey is a natural sweetener, whereas sugar is processed to the point of... well, nothing. Start putting honey in your tea or coffee... The average person today consumes approximately 150 pounds per year... that is 30 five-pound bags!!!

Oats INSTEAD OF Cereal
Start your day off right with old-fashioned, 100% whole grain oats! Add some fruit, a little honey and/or peanut butter, (or throw them in your smoothie raw, like me!) and your bowl of oatmeal will be MUCH more nutritious than your usual breakfast. (that is, if you even eat breakfast!)

Water INSTEAD OF any other beverage!
I cannot stress this point enough... reach for water before anything else. No more pop! I have 1 cup of coffee in the morning (without any sweetener, only milk) and then I don't drink anything else unless I have had at least 64 ounces of water. Make it a daily goal... you will be amazed at the results.
